Oldcastle is the seat of House Locke in the North

Oldcastle lies on the northern shore of the Bite, southeast of White Harbor and north of the Three Sisters. Its ancient castle rests upon a cliff peninsula, jutting out into the Bite.

Located upon high sheer cliff face, the castle is only accessible by a well maintained stone bridge, wide enough to allow five men on horse to ride side by side. The castle itself is ancient, but in good repair. Several wings of the castle have been built into the cliff face, attached by tunnels built long ago.
Across the entry bridge lies the village, Cliffside, the largest in the area. Many farms and smaller villages fill the Locke lands north and east of the castle. Beyond the farms are rolling hillsides of wilderness.

Oldcastle was the royal seat of the Lockes when they were petty kings.
